Agenzia Dufoto stamp on the back of the photograph. Alfredo Durazzi, better known as Aldo, was an Italian photographer who worked at Gazzetta dello Sport, the Farabola agency and later, after moving to Rome, founded the Dufoto agency in 1956. This photograph of Salvador Dalí and Gala is part of a photo shoot that Durazzi did with Salvador Dalí in his beloved Portlligat in 1957. At home, Dalí is wearing the typical Catalan “barretina” cap and his famous moustache, looking at the camera and holding a pen in his hand, while Gala stands serenely behind him, smiling.
