Lot description

Polystone resin. Scale 1:1. Ultra limited edition of 5 copies.
'The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn' is a 3D animated film from 2011, based on three comic books by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. It was directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson. The idea of developing a new film version of ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ began in 1981 when Steven Spielberg got in touch with Hergé, following his interest in the character of Tintin. Spielberg acquired the rights to make a film in 1983. It is the first animated film directed by Spielberg and was made using motion capture technology, which means that the actors not only provided the voices, but also performed the movements and gestures of their characters. The polystone resin figure was made by Weta Workshop, a New Zealand company responsible for the conceptual design and visual effects of this epic film, and is a limited edition of only five copies. In addition, the image of Tintin (along with his faithful friend Snowy) running under the spotlight was the first to be published in ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ and illustrates the cover of the book ‘The Art of the Adventures of Tintin’.
125 x 195 x 67 cm.
