Lot description

Oil on canvas.
This could be one of the many copies made after Andrea del Sarto's famous work, of which there are also several versions by the artist himself.
The paint layer has been restored and the work has been relined.
The painting also has an elaborate Baroque frame in carved wood, which still has some traces of polychrome.
112 x 91 cm; 144 x 123 cm (frame).
