Lot description
With influence from the chest of drawers made in the Torroella area.
Walnut wood and structure and interior of drawers in riverside wood. Metal handles, escutcheons and locks.
Chest of drawers structured with uprights and rails. The nailed top has two boards with marquetry details. The body is divided into five rows of drawers, the top row divided into two drawers. The drawers are assembled with three dovetails between the front and sides. The front is decorated with chiselled mouldings. The sides have chiselled moulded decoration on both sides. The skirt is trimmed in the typical manner of the region, and moulded.
The inside of the drawers are lined with imitation wood vinyl.
It has apparently inactive xylophagous holes, as well as wear and tear due to age. The legs have been treated.
