Lot description

Walnut wood with engraved and inked fruitwood marquetry and boxwood filleting.
Parallelepiped-shaped body that can be opened by a flat top lid and a front door, with panels decorated with marquetry, inlays and filleting. The lid, which protrudes from the body by means of strips at each end, is hinged with two flat hinges on the outside.
The front has three horizontally arranged registers separated by ledges. Above and below the panels are two friezes that include metopes with carved vegetal motifs. The escutcheon is on the centre of the upper frieze. The right-hand panel provides access to a doorway that conceals three drawers with button handles. The sides are decorated with two panels decorated with boxwood fillets. A mixed moulding runs along the lower perimeter of the body above the claw feet.
It has wear and tear and apparently inactive xylophagous holes, as well as moisture.
