Codina Langlin moved to London in 1877 because an illustrious Englishman commissioned him the decoration of his Marlborough-Gate palace and, from then on, the British capital was his residence until his death in 1911.
He was a painter of the highest quality, his mastery in depicting tapestries and carpets, as can be seen in this work, has been practically unparalleled to date.
