Lot description

Oil on board. Embossed silver with semi-precious stones and river pearls inlays. Madonna crowned with an irregular old cut diamond of 0.50 cts.
Depiction of Madonna in half-length, holding Child Jesus in her arms. The child is depicted in an upright frontal position, raising his right hand as a sign of blessing. The icon is protected by an embossed silver ‘oklad’. The image is complemented by an embossed silver ‘tsata’.
There are losses on some inlays and restorations on the right side of the ‘tsata’ to the piece that crowns the figure of the Jesus child.
