Lot description

Walnut box assembled in box and tenon. Organised in three lanes divided by a side-to-side panel; it has seven drawers and a door with three small drawers inside. The front of the drawers are decorated with engraved bone plaques and the doorway with a polychrome image of the Annunciation. The sides have fine wood marquetry and iron handles. It has four gilded bronze claw feet that have been removed.

The lower part has remains of an old iron fitting that held a hinged lid.
