Signed "Sniper?" and dated.
Depiction of King Edward VIII of the United Kingdom, the king who was never crowned, wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards. After his abdication in 1936, he never wore the uniform again.
On the back, there is a label of Victor Waddington Galleries, Dublin.
53.5 x 64 cm; 57 x 68 cm (frame).
