Several inscriptions on the back, including one attributing the work to Pietro da Cortona; a second inscription indicating that it belonged to the former collection of J.H. Schwartz (no. 1823); and others with a reg. no. 110.
Copy after the original oil painting by Ciro Ferri (circa 1666-1667), Pietro da Cortona's best student, kept at the Galleria Spada, Rome.
