Lot description

The bookcase comprises about 200 books from the large Crisol collection.
The Crisol collection led to the creation of Aguilar's first pocket library. The collection began in 1943 with the release of the "Disraeli" biography by André Maurois. Bound in leather, although in the last years of its edition, we can find samples in cardboard and plastic. Depending on the theme of the work, the binding was given a different colour. Thus, novels, stories, travels, adventures and biographies are red; poetry, green; theatre, blue; and in Corinth, art, science, history, legends, essays, criticism, philosophy, politics, religion and moral issues. The collection continued for just over fifteen years, reaching a total of 400 issues in 1959. Re-editions of some of the titles and the so-called "bis numbers" (20 crucibles interspersed between 1954 and 1965) remained in print until 1966
Each volume is 12.5 x 8.5 cm and consists of about 600 pages.
