Signed, sited & dated. Small perforation to upper central area. 38 x 38 cm; 56.5 x 54 cm. (frame). Carlos Almaraz was a Mexican-American artist and one of the first exponents of chicano street art. These days his work can be seen in the collections of such museums as The Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles County Museum of Art, & The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, amongst others.
