GEORGIOUS HOEFNAGEL (1542-1600).
Dichos grabados forman parte del Atlas titulado "Civitates Orbis Terrarum" (1572-1617), proyecto editorial de enorme embergadura destinado a complementar el "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum", considerado el primer atlas de la historia. La edición corrió a cargo de George Braum y Frans Hogenberg, y las ilustraciones se llevaron a cabo por varios colaboradores entre los que destaca Georgious Hoefnagel, quien recorrió infinidad de paises para componer sus vistas. Los textos descriptivos que acompañan los grabados hacen referencia a la geografía, historia y aspectos sociales y económicos de cada ciudad.

Presentan algunas manchas de óxido.
